Drosera (Droseraceae). The effect of iight varied from no effect to promoting germination to being an absolute requirement for germination. Germination in 70 GA-3 was always poor and often zero. Except for D. binata seeds DS 8 m germ. 70L(100% in 10-12 d) and 70D(15% in 5th w). This declined to 14% for either 70L or 70D after 18 m DS (note elimination of the light requirement along with the dying) and seeds DS 2 y were dead. D. binata v. multifida germ. 70L(100% in 10-12 d) and 70D(40% in 3rd w). Seeds DS 18 m were 85% dead, and seeds DS 2 y wère all dead.
